Hi Burnt Toasties!

I am SO HAPPY to be shifting into spring mode. We spent yesterday starting seeds for the garden (more on what I’m most excited to plant this year below!) and if the rain holds off, I’m hoping to get some beds cleared out today. Seeing little green buds and shoots coming up turns me into Peak Garden Mom, hollering at my children to come admire the bud of a lilac. (They obvs deeply and reverently appreciate this! Every time!)

I hope your Sunday is similarly spring-feeling, but even if it isn’t —scroll on for some good reads and treats.

Trad Wives Don’t Get Fat

OK there is a lot to say about Katie J.M.Baker’s excellently complicated profile of Brittany and Gabriel Hugoboom, the founders of Evie Magazine, which they bill as “Conservative Cosmo,” because what the world absolutely needs now is a women’s magazine with wildly regressive values, which runs headlines like “6 Lies We’ve Been Told About Birth Control Pills.”

But I’m going to leave the deep dive think pieces for other writers, and zero in on this one absolutely bananas WTF moment that I can’t stop thinking about.
