Oh man, I LOVE Fringe + Company! I have three of their kaftans (green/blue iridescent sequin, purple spandex with rainbow dots, and red velvet, for the curious. A kaftan for every occasion.)
It's so funny, when I wear them out in public (especially the sparkly ones), I get little girls going absolutely heart-eyes when they see me, but I also get adult women gasping in delight and complimenting them. I always want to take the grownups by the hand and say, "You did not have to outgrow this. You can have whimsy, and you don't need an occasion. You can just wear sequins to the grocery store if you want. There are no rules!"
Including a sparkly, colorful item in my closet of beloved button downs and soft pants makes my inner little girl really happy! And I saw a few short kaftan options which I hadn’t thought of and love.
Genius! I love, love, love them! I especially love their view on dealing with trolls and obnoxious, angry people. You’ve gotta be pretty clever to not only let it roll off your back, but turn it into comedy gold. Ladies, if you’re reading this, you’re the best! Keep doing what you’re doing!
This interview was so much fun. I feel gloriously empowered to start my own sequin caftan era. I don't have a lot of data for adult poops, but I will say that my tiny five year old can drop a giant deuce. 💩
