Just wanted to thank you both for the lasagna love and this wonderful conversation! I am always happy to help field dinner party menu suggestions-- just let me know :)

On the question of bras, I have a suspicion that no one is making bras specifically with the needs of fat bodies (especially fat midsections) in mind. I've been having so much trouble with bra bands cutting in and rolling up. So it's evenmore complex than the already-complex set of variables about cup size, band size, breast shape and position, shoulder shape, etc. I recently tried a new bralette from Evelyn and Bobbie - their Defy bra is fabulous but was looking for one with a bit less coverage - and the cup/lift part was perfect but the band was rolled up so far it was practically in my armpit.
On the question of dinner parties, I love to make fajitas. So easy to make, so flexible for different eating needs, and I've yet to find a guest who wasn't excited about it.
I completely agree about the fat body bra problem!! I think this is why I stick to soft bras. It’s just not possible with an underwire. As I said on the pod, I went through this whole process of trying to figure out my size and ordering a bunch and none of them really fit. And what was available in my size was very limited! If anyone has a solution… would love to hear about it.
I think you've got to find an IRL store, at least initially. The independent bra store near me posts their size range online, but you could also call ahead to make sure they've got the right range for you. My experience is that they have so many more bras than you could ever order, and that they have the experience to say "oh, it's not right in X dimension, so we should switch to Y brand instead."
But I am underwire all the way. The only soft ones that don't roll up are the ones that are too tight to be comfortable.
I loved this conversation! One thing, my husband has decided to go Keto. Pray for me. He is good about preparing his own food and it's all about his insecurity regarding aging and I am being gentle and supportive about loving him as is but I am so tired of hearing about his carb counts. Like I said, pray for me.
Another thing, I have found that Soma has a pretty decent wireless bra that actually doesn't cut into my skin, I'm a 36 D for reference. I have, however, yet to find a sports bra that is the same amount of comfy as it is supportive for my high intensity equestrian hobby...
And another thing, face shields! Didn't know these existed! Must acquire!
Loved this whole episode and thanks for answering my question about skinny husbands. Don't worry, my husband has always said positive things about my body. The problem lies mostly within me.

Corinne, I will join you in the face-shield-wearing. I have one bookmarked but I’ve been too chicken to put it in my cart. If each person reading this gets one we would start the trend!

I love this all so much! Corinne fabulous photo: I’m going to get myself a sun face shield because I had a serious accident that damaged my eyes and juggling my various seeing glasses sunglasses etc etc is so hard! I think the face shield might help. Virginia: so thrilled with Burnt Toast. Sent it to my book group. Look for new subscribers from retired academics. ♥️♥️♥️
16 months is brutal!!! Honestly such a tough age. With both of my kids, the "terrible twos" was not nearly as awful as people promised and I felt like, why are we not talking about how tough one is?!

Oh I may take you up on that. Thanks so much, Julia!
"Do I explain about IUDs? Or have I already taken this too far?" I just... I love you, Virginia.

Also love the idea of fajitas!

Ohhh gosh. Good luck with Keto. I do need to write more about dieting partners, at some point. It's a tough one.
Please do. I get so very tired of my husband asking for the calorie count of every meal.

Thanks for asking it! Such a good one and a common struggle.
